What is a disciple?

According to GOD'S WORD, disciples of JESUS (Luke 14:25-33) were first called "Christians" in Antioch

Disciples of JESUS are genuine Christians

Not Catholics.
Not Mormons.
Not Lutherans.
Not Baptists.
Not Non-Denominationals.

Not Calvinists.

Not Arminians.

Not Jews.

Disciples of JESUS.

A disciple of JESUS is someone who has "sat at the table" like JESUS SAYS to (Luke 14/Matthew 10), and, knowing what they must be willing to do, commit themselves to it and to being HIS disciple, which is to give up everything and anything for HIS sake, put HIM above all human relationships, even to our own detriment, and, if necessary, not just die, but suffer the way JESUS did, on the cross.
You believe in JESUS don't you?
You believe HE died for you, so you could live forever with HIM?
But you won't be HIS disciple?

HE SAYS, "Why do you call ME 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you?"

Just stop.

This is what it is to genuinely be a "Christian". If it's not for you, then be on your way and go

live your life the way you want. Just know. Whoever loves their life... will lose it. JESUS SAYS that.

I think it's safe to say, as a disciple, we must go. Wherever it is that we've been living and everyone "knows us"...

we have to go. Willing to go. Praying on it. Ready to go wherever our FATHER would have us go.

That brings me to another point. This "disciple of JESUS" relationship... is to obey JESUS.

Go. Make disciples. Baptize them in THE NAME of THE FATHER, THE SON, and THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Teach them to obey THE WORD of JESUS.

JESUS SAYS, "I AM setting an example for you to follow."

Who does HE pray to? HIS FATHER

Who does HE say we should pray to? our FATHER

As disciples of JESUS, we are given the right to be called children of GOD.

Lots of people say they are children of GOD. They are sons and daughters of disobedience.

Lots of people say everyone is children of GOD. Lies.

Disciples of JESUS.

It comes with the greatest of costs.

To lay down your life and live the life our FATHER wants us to live, according to HIS plans... for HIS

purposes, HIS kingdom, and HIS glory.

That's the example set for us by JESUS.

An intimate relationship with our FATHER.

We can thank JESUS. We can praise HIM and worship.
But primary relationship and prayer is to our FATHER.

Who begot JESUS? THE FATHER

Who used JESUS to SPEAK? THE FATHER

Who sent JESUS to the earth? THE FATHER

Who sent THE HOLY SPIRIT on HIM? THE FATHER

Who received HIM again unto HIMSELF? THE FATHER
Who will again send JESUS to retrieve HIS bride (disciples of JESUS)? THE FATHER

JESUS knows that.

Most all churches in this world reject it.

You can't be "Christ-like" and reject this relationship.

You can't be a "slave of CHRIST" and reject this relationship.

So you can't be a "Christian" and reject this relationship.

Is it required for salvation?
Tricky question.

That depends.

If you're about to die... no.

Faith, by GOD'S grace, is enough.
It was enough for the criminal on the cross.

Continuing to live means we will see the evidence that this is real in you.

Or we won't.

THE LORD SAYS "they went away from us (disciples) because they were never of us"
They didn't lose their salvation.

They never had it.

Nothing is more deceiving than the human heart. Who can understand it?
