Real Religion Africa

Helping those whose life is much harder than ours.

We make introductions to real and vetted brothers and sisters in Uganda and Kenya struggling just to eat and have basic necessities. Some take care of orphans, just over 140 total, last we counted. We struggle to support them adequately, so we would like more people to help us support them. Pretty simple. Read their stories, see the photos, reach out to them directly, and give as you are led. And yes, it's a tax write-off.

Our Story

Upon arriving in Iraq ("Triangle of Death" - Iskanderiah/Jurf), we worked our jobs all day, ate dinner, and then pulled a long security shift, as we did not have security at the base. 20 hour days for 3.5 months. When the Ugandans came to pull security for us, they were my favorite people in the world. Sleep. Real sleep. Finally. And they were making American money, sending it back to their families. So they were "in the money," as they say, and always so happy all the time, smiling from ear to ear.

I made friends with a unit chief and helped train some of his men, since they were guarding our front gate and had no combat experience. We became friends. They told me all about Uganda and how I should go there one day and they would show me everything and I could do a music concert there and it's so beautiful... :)

I'm anti-terror trained and studied psychology in high school and college. I'm aware of scammers. I'm aware they are everywhere. I know how to ask questions in a certain way, and I know how to pay close attention to responses, investigating my theories; testing and setting traps to expose any lie or deception that is detected. After years of talking with these individuals, many of them daily... praying with them, helping them... I'm comfortable with the list we have of people we can help, confidently.

How we give
